We are committed to clear and transparent financial advice
Our simple, six-step financial planning process clearly details how we deliver financial advice to you.
Step 1: Initial Discovery Meeting
Step 1: Initial Discovery Meeting
This initial meeting is obligation and cost free. It’s an opportunity for Logical to learn about your attitudes, preferences, needs, challenges and discuss your key goals and objectives, as well as a realistic pathway and time-frame for reaching them.
Before this meeting, we will send you an introductory pack that contains documents for you to complete and return to us, including a Data Collection Form.
The purpose of these documents is to obtain essential information about you and to ensure that all relevant issues are covered in our initial discussions. Some information required relates to, personal details, financial goals, financial details (assets, liabilities, income and expenses), general attitude to risk, family relationships, financial risk taking, superannuation details and other investments you may hold.
We aim to give you the confidence that we can help you reach your financial goals.
Step 2: Strategy Development
Step 2: Strategy Development
Once we get a sense of priorities and distinct aspirations, we will customise a financial plan to meet your lifestyle goals and objectives within a realistic time-frame.
For example, you may want to pay less tax and boost your superannuation, establish a retirement income stream, or simply manage your portfolio more actively. We can help you achieve these goals, and many more, by providing a detailed road map to protect and secure your future.
Step 3: Financial Plan Preparation
Step 3: Financial Plan Preparation
Once we have devised your customised financial plan, we will cement this in writing so that you know exactly what we have recommended, how your money will be invested, all costs, and the ongoing service and care you can expect from us. When investing your money in various strategies we are very fee sensitive and therefore avoid expensive and unnecessary products/investments that are not best of breed.
This written financial plan is called a Statement of Advice (SoA), and is an important legal document that is also the road map to your financial goals.
Step 4: Financial Plan Presentation
Step 4: Financial Plan Presentation
Once your Statement of Advice has been completed, we will arrange a meeting to take you through our recommendations in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Our aim is to explain what can be complex concepts and industry jargon in plain English so that you can fully understand how we manage your strategies and your money.
We will step through the list of recommendations in your SoA, and explain our reasons for making each one and the impact it will have on your financial situation. Each recommendation will be carefully justified, and we may also offer alternatives where applicable.
All investments will be transparent, straightforward, and easy to understand.
Step 5: Implementation and Recommendation
Step 5: Implementation and Recommendation
If you are happy with our recommendations and are ready to implement them, our team of experts will complete the rest of the process for you.
We can establish new investment accounts, manage superannuation rollovers and account consolidation, establish self-managed super funds, organise cash transfers, establish income streams, make off-market share transfers, insurance applications and liaise with your solicitor or accountant, to name just a few of the tasks we undertake.
Depending on the complexity of your situation, implementation can take from a few weeks to several months. We will keep you up to date throughout, and have a detailed and active workflow process that is designed to ensure nothing slips through the cracks, so you don’t have to worry.
Step 6: Ongoing review and portfolio management
